VIDEO: 2016 Honda Africa Twins on the Dirt...

...and they're being ridden by Marc Marquez and HRC Rally rider Joan Barreda!

We've already shared quite a bit of information with you about the 2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, the big new ADV bike that goes on sale in the US early next spring. Naturally, one of the big concerns regarding the Africa Twin is its curb weight, which is pegged by Honda at 503 lb. Would such a heavy bike be able to work decently on the dirt? No doubt to assuage our fears about that particular question, Honda had HRC factory riders Marc Marquez and Rally ace Joan "Bang Bang" Barreda put the new Africa Twin through its paces on some relatively smooth dirt in their native Spain. Sure, these supremely talented riders are going to say good things about this new Honda, but this video does make the Africa Twin look like it's fun on the dirt, if a bit soft on some of the landings. And neither of these riders is particularly big, tipping the scales at 130 and 163 lb. respectively. Enjoy.
