It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Honda’s new Africa Twin. The bike made me love and appreciate adventure bikes when I first rode it in South Africa, and recently I chose it to win our big Adventure Bike Comparison. But, while we think it’s a great bike and is actually a pretty nice performer in the dirt, it’s not what we’d call perfect.
Honda's new Africa Twin Enduro Concept, which was released today at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, is looking to change all that by bringing us a new version of the bike that's a lot more CRF and a lot less "big adventure bike."
To achieve this, Honda R&D have created new, lighter weight chassis components from parts initially developed for the CRF450R. The styling has been updated, with a new windscreen and adapted headlight, and taller bars with hand guards added. Then there's that beautiful Termignoni exhaust.
This is some of the best moto porn you'll likely see today, unless I'm the only sucker for big dirt things and wheels with colored panels on them.
