Yamaha Star Motorcycles

Just as Toyota has its upscale Lexus division, in 1996 Yamaha debuted Star Motorcycles to distinguish its cruisers. The marriage has been good, with the robust Star range most recently adding lean new Bolt and premium Bolt R-Spec models. But the Yamaha Star motorcycle lineup is way broader, with nine separate nameplates offering some 20 different cruiser models. Most audacious is the brutish V-4 VMAX, the original power cruiser reborn. Three different Raider models wrap custom styling around Star Motorcycles’ potent 113ci air-cooled V-twin, while the Stryker model combines an even more daring chopper influence with a liquid-cooled 80ci. engine. Switching gears, you can head for the horizon on the Royal Star or Stratoliner models, or choose from one of seven affordable V-Star machines – the largest model group in the Star range.
