The acquisition of Ducati Motor Holding by Audi AG is now formally completed, and the first official act of the new board of directors was the appointment of Rupert Stadler, CEO of Audi AG, to the position of president of the board. This board will be composed of four members. Two, Horst Glaser and Axel Strotbek, are from Audi AG, and two are from Ducati Motor Holding: Gabriele Del Torchio and former General Manager Claudio Domenicali.
The second act of the board was the confirmation of Del Torchio as CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, the same position he has been holding since mid-2007. The board also deliberated the composition of the Ducati Motor Holding Executive Committee of Members of Board, and the members of the Ducati Motor Holding Management, with Del Torchio appointed president. The Italian manager received an additional and very prestigious recognition of his managerial competence by being appointed also to the Board of Directors of Automobili Lamborghini.
In Italy, Audi now owns Automobili Lamborghini, Ducati Motor Holding and Giugiaro Design Center, three of the best in their respective sectors.
