Subject of this latest video from Kawasaki is the machining and measurement of the aluminum impeller for the H2R superbike's centrifugal supercharger. The term "five-axis" refers to the number of directions from which the cutting tool can approach the impeller. The probe that later comes into view precisely measures the physical characteristics of the impeller. The track-only H2R will be shown Stateside for the first time this weekend at the second annual AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida. Look for the street-legal H2 to make its world debut at the EICMA show in Milan on November 4.
