The Triumph Thunderbird Commander was new for 2014, and this is the first time we've had one on our Dynojet dyno. Just how much power would that huge 1699cc DOHC parallel twin produce? As expected, it's a torque monger, churning out 105.1 pound-feet of the stump-pulling force at only 3,340 rpm. Horsepower ain't bad either, with 83.1 peak hp found at 4680 rpm. And when you look at the graphs, you can see there's absolutely no need to rev this big Triumph mill beyond that point.
