Are you one of those rare people who feels that the sophisticated Vespa 946 is not exclusive enough?
If so, we have good news: The Vespa people have joined forces with legendary fashion guru Giorgio Armani to produce an especially classy version of the 946 called the Emporio Armani. These two classically Italian brands have come together to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group and the 40th of the Giorgio Armani brand.
This new version of the Vespa 946 sports an exclusive color scheme conceived by the maestro himself: a dark shade of matte gray with a touch of green that pops up only under specific lighting conditions. All the metallic elements of the body and of the rolling gear are painted in this Armani Gray that complements the retro styling of the Vespa 946 and further enhances its appeal. The seat trim and grips, as well as an optional leather bag, all in leather, are beautifully color coordinated.
Please recall that the project Vespa 946 was designed to link the styling of the original 1946 Vespa with the most advanced technology in the scooter domain—body components in sheet aluminum sheet, front and rear disc brakes, and even a state-of-the-art electronics suite that includes ABS, traction control, and web connectivity.
The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is being produced in a limited run of individually numbered units, and sold in major cities internationally. No price has been listed yet, but this is for sure: It won’t be inexpensive. For the record, last year’s Bellissima Edition 946 sold for $10,499.
