Years of hard effort in the World Superbike Championship have finally come to fruition for BMW in 2024, with ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team rider Toprak Razgatlıoğlu securing the rider’s title in style. With one of the most dominant seasons we’ve seen in a while, Razgatlıoğlu ended the year with 18 victories and 27 podiums, and that’s after he had to sit out two rounds midway through the season due to injury. Over the 12-event season he also secured six pole positions and 13 fastest race laps.
After such a massive achievement, BMW Motorrad wanted to make sure that it commemorated the title in style. “Toprak’s incredible performance, culminating in the world championship title, was a joyful occasion for us to create a genuine replica of his M 1000 RR world champion machine for BMW Motorrad’s motorsport-affine fans. Limited to 54 units, corresponding to his starting number,” said Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad.
The BMW M RR WSBK Champion Edition 2024 is based on the 2024 M 1000 RR M Competition model. The bike will include the activation code for using the M GPS Laptrigger, M Motorsport paintwork in Blackstorm Metallic with all of the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team’s sponsor logos, a DLC-coated M Endurance chain, the M Carbon package, M Billet package, and the passenger package with a carbon seat cover. Additional carbon components include covers for the tank, frame, swingarm, wiring harness, clutch cover, and exhaust heat shield. Buyers will also receive a voucher for a matching Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust system.
There will be 54 numbered units of the model, with 01/54 going to Razgatlıoğlu himself, and the 54/54 going to the BMW museum, leaving 52 units available for sale in Germany for 54,000 euros. So it looks sadly like we won’t see any of these special editions in the US. But for those US buyers who want to celebrate Toprak’s championship, BMW recently announced the 2025 M 1000 RR that is available in Black Storm Metallic paint and No. 54 Toprak Razgatlioğlu WSBK M Motorsport graphics.
Buyers in Germany will also have the opportunity for a meet and greet with Razgatlıoğlu in person who wrapped up his season by saying: “Wow, what a season and we became world champions. I can’t thank BMW Motorrad, my team, and everyone involved in this fantastic success enough, and it is a great honor for me to receive the No. 1 of the M RR WSBK Champion Edition 2024. It will definitely have a place of honor at my home.”
