“Which bike should I buy?” is the question we so often hear from beginner riders, or those looking to get their kids into riding dirt bikes. Of course, there is no one definitive answer to this question, but Honda’s wildly popular and equally as versatile CRF125F is almost always on the short list of answers. Easy to ride with its comfortable suspension and smooth, predictable power, the CRF125F trail bike is inviting for learning riders. Its midsize chassis means beginners and young riders can more easily reach the ground, while still providing the ground clearance and capability to go on longer rides.
The CRF125F is also available in a CRF125F Big Wheel version, with slightly larger wheels (19- and 16-inch front/rear wheels as opposed to 17 and 14 inches). The seat heights on these two bikes are 29.1 inches and 30.9 inches, respectively. Electric start, fuel injection, and an air-cooled engine mean that the maintenance and operation are as simple as possible, making it easy and dependable to ride. A manual clutch means riders will need to master shifting and clutch coordination, but rest assured, the Honda CRF125F is still easy and friendly to ride—the golden retriever of trail bikes.
The 2025 Honda CRF125F is available in two versions, both in classic Honda red. The standard size is $3,499 (17-inch front/14-inch rear wheels) and the Big Wheel is $3,899 (19-inch front/16-inch rear).
