The RSV4 1100 Factory signals the latest update to Aprilia's superbike lineup, further increasing separation between the standard RR and outgoing RF models. The biggest disparity? Aprilia increased displacement from 999cc to 1,078cc by increasing bore size to 81mm—from the RR model's 78mm. It's visually intriguing too. The 1100 Factory comes equipped with aerodynamic winglets inspired by Aprilia's MotoGP efforts, while optional carbon fiber intake ducts for the brake calipers improve performance and consistency. It does, however, come with a price tag of $24,499.
We ran the RSV4 1100 Factory on our in-house motorcycle dyno, recording horsepower and torque figures as part of the 2019 Cycle World Superbike Shootout. The Aprilia produced a whopping 189.99 hp at 13,490 rpm and 82.09 pound-feet of torque at 9,770 rpm.
