Honda has made a huge splash with its most hard-core dual-sport to date, the 2019 CRF450L. Available in only one trim level and in one color, the CRF450L has a manufacturer suggested retail price of $10,299. We ran the CRF450L on the Cycle World dyno to measure horsepower and torque numbers. Peak power is 38.21 hp and 7,360 rpm and 28 pound-feet of torque at 6,510 rpm.
In Cycle World's recent first ride, the CRF450L impressed with a low-end grunt that did sign off on the top-end. The dyno chart does show this observation with peak power coming in at a lower rpm that would be expected from an engine built from the same platform as the 2019 Honda CRF450R.
