KTM’s 790 Duke is the Austrian manufacturer’s newest addition to the Duke line, filling the rather large gap that sat between the 690 Duke and 1290 Super Duke R. Available in only one trim level in orange or black, the 790 Duke has a manufacturer suggested retail price of $10,499. We ran the 790 Duke on the Cycle World dyno to measure horsepower and torque numbers. Peak power is 95.1 hp at 9,200 rpm and 58.2 pound-feet of torque at 7,800 rpm.
In Cycle World’s recent first ride, the 790 Duke was found to be a potent middleweight naked with a willing engine and sporty handling.
