How Much Power Does The 2020 Indian Challenger Make?

Dyno numbers and video on Indian’s fixed-fairing bagger.

Enter the all-new Challenger—a fixed-fairing bagger packing Indian's PowerPlus V-twin engine. The brand-new powerplant is a liquid-cooled, 108ci V-twin engine with four valves per cylinder actuated by single overhead cams (SOHC). Aside from the engine department, the Challenger uses a new lightweight aluminum chassis, a gas-charged Fox, a 43mm inverted fork, Brembo Monoblock brake calipers, and three riding modes—Rain, Standard, Sport—with individual throttle and traction control mappings.

We strapped the Challenger to our in-house dyno, recording horsepower and torque measurements of the all-new platform. The Indian belted out 103.11 hp at 5,560 rpm and 113.08 pound-feet of torque at 3,330 rpm.
