Brian Smith lives about six minutes from Fast by Ferracci, and the Italian-bike bug bit him hard about a decade ago. It began with a fun dual-sport bike, grew into a Pikes Peak Edition Ducati Multistrada, a Ducati 848 for his son Jordan, then a Ducati 996 racebike was added, but a weekend at the 2015 New Jersey Motorsports Park AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) weekend put Smith face-to-fairing with a Moto Corse Performance Paul Smart Replica race bike build by Chris Boy and company in Florida.
"Please build me one."
Smith was “all in,” designing the paint scheme and picking the parts. Two months ago, the Smart arrived in Pennsylvania and I started begging him on the phone for a ride, and then again in person, and finally on film. Smith hopes to race it at NJMP in AHRMA this July, and I hope you come and find us in the YCRS garage. It's gonna be a party and this bike will be one of the stars. Yeah, it's good, really good.
