KTM is making the final preparations for its re-entry into MotoGP, and part of that preparation includes officially unveiling its RC16 racebike, which it did this past weekend at the Red Bull Ring. If you were wondering what the bike would would look like all dressed up in its official livery, wonder no more.

Paint aside, KTM suggests that the bike is nearly ready for its wild card entry in the season’s finale in Valencia three months from now. Mind you, the team does have another four tests scheduled between now and then, the first being a private test at Misano.

For reference, at the MotoGP Red Bull Ring test back in July, KTM's official test rider, Mika Kallio, was 1.951 seconds back from the fastest man on track, Andrea Iannone.

It will be interesting to see how much the team can close that gap to the front by the time Valencia rolls around, and even more interesting to see how quickly newly signed riders Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith get up to speed on the following Monday, during the official MotoGP test at the same track.

While we wait to see how it all shakes out, here are more photos from this weekend's RC16 unveil for you to check out.
