Of all the classes of motorcycles on the market today, there is none more competitive than 450cc four-stroke motocross. In the premier ranks of Supercross and Motocross, both in the US and around the world, the 450cc four-stroke dirt bike reigns supreme. KTM is squarely in the fight for championships at all levels, and the Austrian company keeps its competitive spirit alive with a rapidly advancing 450 SX-F, which hardly ever sees a model year go by without updates or innovations. With its half-yearly Factory Editions released in winter following the model year release in the summer, you could argue that KTM’s development moves at twice the pace as the competition.
The 2025 KTM 450 SX-F emerged with updates to the frame and bodywork, and revised suspension settings. And the KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition brings even more to the party.
A Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) is available as a KTM PowerParts accessory for the 2025 450 SX-F, and comes standard on the Factory Edition. The CUO links up to the KTMconnect app and allows riders to make adjustments to the engine, much like its Yamaha and Kawasaki counterparts. Unique to the KTM CUO system, however, is the LitPro functionality, which can provide riding data and track lap times.
This technology is only icing on the orange 450 cake, which already offers electric start, air-fork suspension, a handlebar-mounted switch that offers multiple engine maps, traction control settings, launch control, and quickshifter function, and Brembo brake and clutch hydraulics. The 2025 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition adds to the mix the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing graphics, a Selle Dalla Valle seat, Akrapovič slip-on silencer, orange anodized factory triple clamps, holeshot device in the front fork guard, skid plate, and Hinson clutch cover.
The 2025 KTM 450 SX-F is available in a standard version for $11,299 and a Factory Edition for $12,699.
