2025 KTM 450 XC-F

KTM’s 450 XC-F gets an extra upshift in 2025.

The KTM 450 XC-F gets a six-speed gearbox for 2025, along with receiving the shared XC-F line updates.KTM

Overview

The bike of choice for the FMF KTM Factory Racing team in the West, the KTM 450 XC-F is found very often on the podium of NGPC, WORCS, and West Hare Scrambles races. With a motocross-based engine and chassis platform, each tuned for closed-course off-road competition, the XC-F line brings racy power and aggressive suspension to the trails. The beauty of the cross-country competition model (KTM’s along with its competitors) is that they remain capable and competitive on the MX track as well, amounting to great versatility for riders who enjoy riding both motocross and off-road.

For 2025 the 450 XC-F receives the shared updates to the XC-F line, including a reworked frame, revised suspension settings, new linkage, and new bodywork/graphics. It also receives a new six-speed Pankl gearbox, replacing the previous five-speed transmission.

The KTM 450 XC-F uses a 48mm WP Xact fork, but the coil-spring rather than the pneumatic spring of the SX-F’s air fork. Slightly softer settings help absorb rocks, roots, and bumps, but still hold up well to the demands of motocross. A larger fuel tank, 18-inch rear wheel, six-speed gearbox, hand guards, skid plate, and kickstand distinguish it from its SX-F counterpart, making life easier when racing longer distances through more varied terrain. A handlebar-mounted switch offers engine map select, traction control, launch control, and a quickshifter.

Versatility is a key strength of the 2025 KTM 450 XC-F cross-country competition model.KTM
