A dual sport motorcycle is loosely defined in today’s market, existing on a rather wide spectrum, ranging from a barely street-legal dirt bike on one end to a barely dirt-capable streetbike on the other end. KTM’s EXC-F models belong to the former category, which should come as no surprise since the Austrian company’s roots are firmly planted in the dirt. So it follows that KTM would take its championship-winning enduro platform and tweak it just enough to earn a license plate and make it street-legal. The 500 EXC-F is the larger of KTM’s two displacement offerings, the 2025 coming in a standard trim as well as a Championship Edition and Six Days trim.
For 2025, the KTM 500 EXC-F receives the same basic upgrades as the XC-W and XCF-W off-roaders, including new silver/gray graphics, and an orange gripper seat. Suspension settings on the shock are revised, as is the machining on the swingarm.
The Champion Edition—a nod to the 50 years of champions who have won titles for the KTM brand—stands apart with its orange frame, and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing graphics. The Champion Edition package also includes a number of accessories from the KTM PowerParts catalog, including the orange factory racing seat, gray ODI lock-on grips (stock are black), a composite skid plate, frame protectors, front axle puller, floating front brake disc, and Supersprox rear sprocket.
Even further north on the cash register is the 2025 KTM 500 EXC-F Six Days, tipping the scales at $14,249, KTM’s priciest street-legal dirt bike to date. The Six Days edition is KTM’s homage to the prestigious International Six Day Enduro (ISDE), where its XC-W and XCF-W enduro models still reign supreme. The Six Days model looks the goods, with special edition graphics, orange frame, orange-anodized CNC-machined triple clamps, and trick-looking anthracite-coated silencer. Details will reveal special Six Days graphics on the handlebar, premium Giant rims, and muffler.
The 2025 KTM 500 EXC-F is available in standard trim for $13,099, a Champion Edition for $13,599, and Six Days version for $14,249.
