Miguel Galluzzi did a great thing wrapping his daring MCX21 in carbon fiber and now carbon fiber is very much in fashion at Moto Guzzi: enter the Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon, just unveiled at INTERMOT.

The Audace is the “dark” model in the Moto Guzzi California family and this Carbon edition ads an extra touch of gothic essence to its personality. It is not just a matter of carbon fiber front fender and fuel tank cowls. The Audace Carbon has been revised in a few more details over the regular Audace version.

To enhance the contiguity with the MGX21, the Audace Carbon adopts the same “Mandello red” valve covers and front Brembo calipers. More meaningful is the reshaping of the dragbar, now bent at the grips to offer an easier reach to riders of all sizes.

On the technical side, the 1.4 liter 90° transverse V-Twin has been refined to comply with the Euro4 standards, with no power loss: 96 hp as before. The electronics suite has been added of a new function: the Eco Ride mode that calibrates performance and fuel consumption to get the best mileage while touring in relax.

Like all the other models in the cruising family, the Audace Carbon also features a new and more accurate cruise control system, while the Moto Guzzi Multimedia Platform that interfaces with the personal smartphone now also provides a map of the service stations within rage.
