Last summer, I had a first that’s maybe a bit strange for a motorcycle journalist—I attended my first public trackday. Now, this wasn’t my first trackday, I just sort of skipped the track thing until I’d been testing and writing about bikes for a few years and I’d never done it until now.
The experience was eye-opening in a lot of ways. I came home with the realization that I’m very spoiled lucky and that there are still plenty of things left in the world of motorcycling that can make me feel completely out of my element and like I don’t know a thing. I also came home with a major appreciation for the riding schools I’ve been able to experience, as I felt far more capable compared to the average rider than I expected.
You can read more about the things I learned in the story I wrote this summer, and now you can finally see the footage from our trip.
