Aprilia’s 2016 RSV4 R-FW is a “Factory Works” bike that’s built by the Aprilia Racing Team and available to anyone who wants their next race bike (or trackday bike, or collector’s item) to be built and prepped by the same racing division that’s earned 7 World Superbike titles, plus last year’s FIM Cup Superstock 1000 title. The RSV4 R-FW will be available in five packages that vary in specification for both the engine and electronics, with the top engine configuration providing something over 230 horsepower, according to Aprilia.
The 2016 RR and RF are an evolution of the RSV4 models, the RF adding Öhlins suspension, forged aluminum wheels, and Superpole graphic to an already sublime package. Aprilia has found a few extra horsepower for both models, tweaked the ergonomics, and refined the electronics for increased rideability over the duration of a race or trackday, all using information and ideas gathered from Aprilia’s Racing Department.
The latest Tuono models feature a larger 1077cc engine, revamped chassis setup intended to increase agility, and a more powerful electronics suite that now features Bluetooth connection with your smartphone for real-time telemetry and electronics adjustment. The new Tuono V4 1100 will be available in two versions: the V4 1100 RR, and the Factory aPRC edition with Öhlins suspension and steering damper.
