Schuberth SR2 Wins Second Sport Helmet Test

PS motorcycle magazine of Germany and TÜV Rhineland have collaborated on a group test of eleven current supersport helmets. Scoring top marks in nearly all criteria, the brand new SCHUBERTH SR2 was nominated the unequivocal winner of this elaborate test.

It has almost become a tradition that helmet tests end with test wins of and recommendations for SCHUBERTH helmets. But a brand new SCHUBERTH helmet like the SR2 winning two group tests in short succession immediately after its market launch is a first even for the helmet manufacturer from Magdeburg, Germany. After defeating the established competition in the recent test by Europe's largest motorcycle magazine MOTORRAD, the SR2 now has won the test carried out by PS, the magazine for "sporting, fast motorcycling" – and by an even greater margin.

The current PS issue 6-2016 chronicles how the SR 2 defined the new benchmark in nearly every respect. The SCHUBERTH supersport helmet received the maximum score for its complete lack of fogging, missing the maximum impact absorption and noise ratings only by a single point. The SR2’s aerodynamics, ventilation, field of vision, weight, fit/wearing characteristics and equipment/ craftsmanship also received very high marks. Overall, it was ranked “very good” by the PS editors after comprehensive laboratory and race track testing, to win the test with a total score of 130 out of 150 possible points.
