Motion Pro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge | SR Tested Product Review

Designed to be both easy to use and reliable when it comes to precise tire pressure monitoring

While competing on Sport Rider's ZX-6R project bike earlier this year, the team put its Motion Pro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge to great use. Constructed around an 18-inch hose with dual swivel, large display with backlight, and billet aluminum body, the Digital Tire Pressure Gauge is designed to be both easy to use and reliable when it comes to precise tire pressure monitoring. An added bonus is that the gauge has a continuous pressure-reading feature for quicker adjustments.

CycleMall Motorsport’s Tige Daane was almost always the one with his hands on the Motion Pro gauge and reports that the high-flow bleed with continuous pressure-reading function made it really easy to set pressures quickly, just as the riders were heading out on the track. He continually tested the Digital Tire Pressure Gauge with a tiresupplier’s gauge tester, and in all cases it was accurate. “I have never had a gauge that seemed to stay as spot-on all year, and it’s very easy also to switch from psi to bar, which is a nice bonus,” he adds.

The list of downsides is short, though we’ll admit that battery life was not as strong as we’d hoped it’d be. The backlight is said to increase readability in low-light conditions but wasn’t a miracle cure, and we had to put a bit of weight on the air chuck before getting the gauge to read pressure. That being said, the gauge’s components are all high-quality, and when you’re at the track it’s important to have tools that you can really rely on. That’s what $124.99 gets you in this case.
