Video: 2016 Aprilia RSV4 RR Overview

An overview of the 2016 Aprilia RSV4 RR, one of three motorcycles competing for this year’s literbike comparison victory.

The Aprilia RSV4 RR is anything but a backmarker in the literbike category. As evidence, the machine has been piloted to four MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 race victories in the 2016 season so far against some serious competition. After seeing the bike's success in the MotoAmerica series, we have been eager to have it a part our 2016 literbike comparison test.

The 2016 RSV4 RR comes to battle prepared with a number of updates and components that are more than capable to take on its competition, the Kawasaki ZX-10R and Yamaha YZF-R1. Aprilia’s aPRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control System) electronics package comes standard on the RSV4 and includes traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and quickshift technologies. The RSV4’s V-4 engine puts out a claimed 201 horsepower also helping make it a heavy hitter of the literbike field. The Italian brand chose Brembo monobloc calipers to stop the motorcycle and SACHS suspension components to keep it planted on the ground.

The RSV4 RR is quite an impressive motorcycle on paper but watch to see how it performs in the 2016 Literbike Comparison Test in the August/ September issue of Sport Rider Magazine!
