Haven't we seen this somewhere before? Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez making an impossible-looking save of what would surely be a crash for us mere mortals? This type of stuff by Marquez is getting to be so commonplace--he did the same thing during practice at last weekend's Red Bull Ring event--that we almost feel like having to stifle a yawn when news breaks out of yet another wild front-end-slide-save by the two-time MotoGP World Champion.
But this one you need to watch...no, really. Especially the second viewpoint from the following corner's camera, because you can actually see the bike slow down drastically to almost pit lane speed with the front tire completely folded before Marquez picks the bike up. Now, we've seen Marquez and others save a front end slide at speed where the momentum and gyroscopic effect of the wheels help keep the bike upright. But this front end slide has him quite literally skidding the front tire to a near stop before he calmly decides to continue his path directly into the pit lane entrance.
