The 2020 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200 is a motorcycle that gushes custom cruiser styling in a production format. It portrays the custom look through its throwback tank, café-style solo seat, mini-ape handlebars, and blacked-out accents seen on the headlight cowl, air cleaner, nine-spoke wheels, staggered exhaust, and headers with slash-cut mufflers. In fact, when the 2018 Sportster 1200 was unveiled Harley-Davidson’s VP of Styling & Design stated “Since its inception, the Sportster has offered the perfect combination of size, power, and character that makes it appealing to so many different riders. A Sportster is a relatively easy bike to strip down and reinvent. What we’ve done to create the [2018] Iron 1200 and Forty-Eight Special is what Sportster owners have been doing with their own bikes for generations.”
The 2020 Sportster Iron 1200 is powered by the air-cooled 1,200cc Evolution engine. MSRP for Vivid Black starts at $9,999, add $350 for Barracuda Silver or Billiard Blue.
Competition includes the Indian Scout, Honda Shadow Aero/Phantom, Triumph Bonneville Bobber, and Yamaha Bolt.
