Bring on the fun! The 2020 Kawasaki Z125 Pro is a standard minibike that could be used for carving through the urban sprawl and putting smiles on faces along the way. Teens, beginners, or those who just want a light and compact daily rider can look to its four-speed 125cc air-cooled single for good times on two wheels. Plus, its 31.7-inch seat height encourages flat-foot confidence at stoplights, an ideal characteristic for those with shorter inseams. With the trademark styling adopted from the Z line this pint-size ride looks sporty, and its 30mm inverted fork and single shock, tiny 12-inch tires, and short 46.3-inch wheelbase promise nimble handling and tight-turn maneuvering.
Past editors were impressed with the solid handling, light and communicative steering, and admirable stopping power that the 2017 Z125 Pro provided. Later in the day they even partook in some hooliganism in the form of stoppies, wheelies, and jumps.
Everybody knows the Z125′s primary competition comes from Honda with the Grom, but if you are interested in other compact classically styled modes of transportation check out the Honda Monkey.
No changes have been announced for 2020. Kawasaki went with grayscale on the colorways which include Metallic Matte Mysterious Gray, Pearl Storm Gray, and Pearl Stardust White. Starting MSRP is an affordable $3,199.
