Honda Offers Android Auto For Gold Wing

More connectivity for Honda’s flagship tourer.

Honda has announced that Android Auto will be available for 2018 and newer Gold Wing models.Honda

Current Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing customers will be in a position to integrate Android Auto to the connectivity system of their motorcycle for Android 5.0 and higher smartphones. The related update to the bike software will be available in mid-June 2020.

This is another first for Honda’s flagship super-touring model series—back in 2017, the then all-new Gold Wing was the first to offer Apple CarPlay integration that included advanced navigation features and application-specific services that until then had been accessible only on cars. Customer response was very positive and now Honda is going one step further offering all current Gold Wing owners owning an Android-capable smartphone an upgrade to easily enjoy music, media, and messaging apps. Thanks to the simplified voice interface provided by the connection with a Bluetooth headset to Google Assistant, riders can safely stay focused on the road while controlling these functions.

Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing is a sophisticated and comfortable yet great performing luxury tourer like no other, and this next addition of increased connectivity software should provide an even more entertaining riding experience.
